QUESTION MEME

IT'S BEEN AGES but you know the drill:

Ask me questions and I will answer and then ask a question back. If you want me to do a meme of a particular kind, link me and I will answer that too.

OR if you want me to be a complete dick, I will exploradora you in a space that will have no explanation whatsoever.

Applies to: Mage on Emerald, Edmund on Sterling

SCREAM

His reaction would probably be as follows:
1. STOP
2. STARE
3. CONFIRM IT REALLY IS HER
4. HUG AND REFUSE TO LET GO FOR THE LONGEST PERIOD OF TIME
5. ALL THE FEELINGS

And then whoever apped Susan would have completely broken Edmund. There'd be the whole logistics of where is Susan going, what does she remember, what can he do, ahhh why is one of my siblings here too, etc etc. Also, if Susan doesn't remember Edmund died? He's going to be the most :/ :\ about telling her about that. Because it's one thing if not all of them had died, it's another LEAVING HER BEHIND. Also potentially :( if Susan completely disbelieves Narnia, though not so much because she doesn't remember it yet. But that's its own conversation.

Tell me an anecdote/story from college AU Josh.

Josh ended up taking advanced physics freshman year out of interest, and one day his professor started the unit on fluid dynamics and basic atmospheric physics, like you do. Because he was a pretty cool professor, he showed the class videos of people hang gliding. Josh, naturally, thought this was the coolest thing ever and decided to make one.

He got Ven into it right off, because dude, hang glider. He looked up gliders on the Internet and dragged Mau into figuring out how they worked. They spent the next three weeks making sad eyes at the machine shop, scavenging the theater and history departments, and building a bastardization of a glider out of, basically, stuff they found lying around. They finished just before midterms, and decided that they'd test it to celebrate.

So that Saturday night, Josh and Ven picked the lock on the university clock tower and the two of them dragged their makeshift glider up, somehow without security noticing. Mau was on the ground with a flashlight and the promise of the next ride if it worked, marking a landing zone for them. They strapped themselves in, said goodbye to sanity and launched themselves -- and it worked, for about five minutes. Then the glider started to fall, because they hadn't quite gotten the calculations right to rig it for two. Somehow, they managed to level it out and make an emergency crashlanding right near their landing zone, and come out of it with scrapes and bruises and an amazing story to tell; the glider was a total loss, sadly, but the story of the second time they rebuilt it is for another time.

Give me one for Edmund!

Edmund's first semester at university without any family around was a pretty lonely one for him. He had plenty of acquaintances after awhile and he had plenty of things to study, but it wasn't quite a home away from home yet.

But he happened to have his desk set to face out window. About a week into the semester, a stray cat started showing up outside said window. Dirty, old, and kind of ragged looking cat. Not exactly the most tame looking cat, and no idea why it showed up. The first time, it was kind of a nice unexpected distraction, though the cat went away fairly quickly. The next night it showed up, clearly this wasn't just a coincidence, so Edmund asked about it to no avail. So what do? \o/

Third night, Edmund happened to have his dinner on hand, so he shared it. Odd ritual of cat drops in and Edmund feeds it proceeds for awhile. Two weeks before winter break, the cat stops showing up.

He still left food out for it for awhile, but it never came back. He kept an eye out on any news from animal control, but nothing ever came up. He hasn't heard anything from it since.

Do Josh and Ven have any promises/agreements for what happens if they're stuck in a kill game?

They pretty much have an agreement that game stuff doesn't count. Obviously they're both going to try not to hurt each other's teams if at all possible (and given how TE and Peridot are tied, it often is), but if that's not possible, they'll both deal and hug it out afterward.

What classes does AU!Edmund take?

[personal profile] justaking 2012-06-25 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
ALL THE CLASSES!! No, I lie. Most of his classes are related to reading/writing, philosophy, communications, etc. Just things to get him prepped for law school. Picking out fun classes isn't so much an option for him beyond fulfilling a full time class schedule since scholarship and money issues, so he tries to keep it as practical as he can.

Basically Josh and Ven walk into Edmund's room, see the pile of books and their titles, and probably get headaches just looking at them.

What's AU!Josh's major?

I thiiiink he's a double history/physics or chemistry major who takes computer science classes for fun. He probably doesn't sleep a whole lot and gets really, really caffeinated during midterm and final season until Ven sits on him and calms him down.

Does AU!Ed play a sport?
justaking: (It's a joke isn't it?)

[personal profile] justaking 2012-06-25 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
Let's indulge in all the Starbucks, Josh!!

He doesn't officially play on any of the university sports teams, no. He plays for fun and genuinely enjoys the whole sport of it, but he's notorious at being distracted by studies instead. And since chess counts as a sport (IT TOTALLY DOES >O) once you get him started on a chess match and you're competitive, it's like a never ending stream of matches because if he's beaten, he wants to play again to try and find a way around it. Edmund's a sore loser in that if he loses HE WANTS A REMATCH. :'D

How would Josh feel if he ended up in Narnia? Any era you feel like dumping him is fine. :U
