HAHA it's true. For now.

Jade is cool and entertaining and arranged the HAUNCH RODEO!!11!, and is generally one of Roxas' quiet-and-cranky-but-good teammates. And after their conversations in the hugorgy there's this quiet undertone of why doesn't he like hugs like a normal person did something bad happen to him is he okay? Ven seriously does feel somewhat sad for people who don't like hugs, and kind of doesn't know what to do with them.

Edmund is totally welcome to harass Ven! Ven is fond and is just like "you totally have friends, even if you don't realize it, because knights are awesome and friendly and stuff." And if he ran into him on a grumpy day he'd just be like "why are you grumpy what can I do to help?" Generally <333 the awkward knight.

WHY DOESN'T MAGE LIKE HUGS? this is a pressing question for my character. :PPP

THIS TROLL WITH SOCIOPATHIC TENDENCIES DON'T REALLY DO HUGS except if it's to troll someone else.

Jade really does horribly with any sort of affection. He makes exceptions in the case of trolling or just tolerates it from people he's really close to, like Peony. In Aather, it's rapidly occurring to him as a phenomenon that is unavoidable. The first time with Shuri was more of a What Just Happened. With that last hugfest it was a JFC NO fine here go away. Even if he purposely won't hug people, hugs are rampant! So he'll end up slightly more tolerant here than he would normally.

That said if someone like Zack or Lloyd purposely and cheerfully hugs him to troll him, he will punch/stab/kick them where it hurts.


WHY DOES VENTUS LIKE HUGS SO MUCH?

Hehe, admittedly, this is, like, sort of fanon. Because people almost never hug in KH, even if they seem like the type, though Ven does have more physical contact than most. BUT Ven is a very open, affectionate, friendly person who is also very physical, AND his first imprint in Aather was on Cassie of all people, so between those two I allow myself ALL THE HUGS. He likes being close to people and making them happy, because friendship is the cure to all woes. (KH, man.) He pretty much never turns down physical contact unless he's, like, suicidally depressed.

Hmmmmmm how do you think Edmund is going to handle getting his white-witch-betrayal memories? Unless that's the sort of thing you try not to plan in adance.

I just decided to unlock all his memories to see what people will throw at him over won games, so it really depends. He probably won't deal with them in any sort of healthy way until he gets the Aslan-gives-him-a-talk memory. If he gets that one beforehand, it'll be more closure of oh-so-this-happened-so-this-talk-happened. If not... I think it'll depend more heavily on the memories he gets before it. There's a lot of what-if in how he'll deal with them because getting memories out of order in Pevensie land is guaranteed confusion since there's this whole lifetime that his body won't reflect at all.

The definite things he'll get out of those memories will be a willingness to listen to his own gut reaction over whether someone's bad (emphasis on bad), and a sort of unease about snow. In my headcanon, snow's not something that visibly bothers Edmund anymore by the end of it all, but here it'll be a reminder of things past. If he has to get through the snow, he will, but he'll have a difficult time enjoying it.

Boy would it suck for him if Snow ran a takehome game after getting those memories where Aather was covered in snow for however many IC days. :D
