For the record, I wasn't the start of the alcohol trend. Whiskey was. We
also had a Merlot and a Captain Morgan, have a Daiquiri, Sherry and Cider
now, too.
[speaking of team spirit, though, sobers up a bit]
Sorry to say, the guy I replaced and Lightning's both gone with Personae.
Dunno if you knew either of them or not. Stealth and Cascade are still
around, though. Roxas, too.

continue. way to be sensitive, Grayson]
... not just the team losses. Two bad games in less than twenty days--I
dunno how frequent it was for you guys back then or if you know Mira or
Pandora or anything like that. Camelot's been nothing but snow for months,
and just when we're making progress with getting spring back, Snow Queen
goes and gives us blizzards and a freakin' avalanche.
Guess you could say I'm calling you up for some perspective.
I'd ask Stealth but he already gets a lot of stuff put on him, being the
eldest one here. And you were here before he was, I'm pretty sure.
Plus, it's a way to get to know old teammates, right?
[in other words, clearly the best way to hear worse news than what you've

During my time, Three was the biggest threat. I believe there was a game where people ventured into her heart, but the aftermath of that wasn't better. It was less predictable. The timing for the worse off games sounds about right.

—Hm, you're not who I expected.

[seems amused, either way]
Nice hair... Mage, right?

Bacardi.
Been around for a little less than a month.

... now I've heard of a Rum Giggle, but a full on laugh is new.

Call it a bit of history.

Inside joke, huh?

Really now.

Heard Emerald had a certain reputation and most of us figure why the hell not? Team spirit.
[pun intended, of course]
no subject
Team spirit, yes.

I don't recognize Cascade.
no subject
Must've been after your time. Sure makes me feel young to hear that, amazingly.

no subject
If only. I've already had three "younger" teammates--and one of 'em has been booked.
no subject
Booked? That's new.
no subject
[that wary expression of dubiousness because pretty sure the Booking concept's been around for a while...?]
Not really. The guy who got here before me, Merlot, and then the guy after me, Captain Morgan, were put into Beauty's book.

... yeah, I've heard Emerald's always been one of the more steady teams.
It's been pretty rough lately.

You're asking me for perspective?
[clearly he's not the teammate you usually ask for things like this]
